Frequently Asked Questions

*What if I need more than 6 months of individual coaching? You have the option to continue with a customized coaching package, which we will create together based upon your specific need(s).

*What if I want to cancel my coaching sessions before the required months are complete? You will be required to submit a written request to cancel remaining coaching sessions, stating valid reasons for cancellation. Please keep in mind NO monies will be refunded for the sessions that you have already received and paid for in advance.

*What forms of payments are accepted? Zelle, PayPal and Square. Once you have chosen your form of payment then that is the one for the duration of your services. The client will be responsible for fees that may be charged by these payment platforms. The payments will be set up for automatic withdrawal on due date specified. Insufficient funds or denial of payment will result in extra fees and delay of coaching services.

*What if I miss one of the virtual workshops that I paid for? You will be allowed to attend another one w/o incurring another charge. However, you must have done so within 2 months, or it will be forfeited.

*Can I take screenshots during the virtual workshops to share with others who didn't attend? Ask yourself how fair it is to you as well as other parents who made a financial and/or time investment? This is PROHIBITED in order to protect and preserve the integrity of content the coach is sharing and uses in the coaching program. This information is PROHIBITED from being shared with those who didn't pay or take the time out of their day to attend.

*Do you guarantee that your coaching program will stop me from being emotionally triggered and make my child better? As a Parent EQ Coach, I do NOT guarantee that you will NEVER become emotionally triggered after receiving coaching. The fact is, the expectation isn't to not experience emotional triggers, BUT to become experienced with expressing and navigating the emotions in healthy and sustainable ways.

As a Parent EQ Coach, I do NOT "make your child better" or "fix your child". Your child is NOT broken!

Can I use this to diagnose my child for a learning disability or for mental health therapy? NO, I am operating in the capacity of a coach and NOT a medical doctor, psychologist or therapist. My coaching is NOT used to diagnose a child with a learning disability, although my expertise as an educator is well versed in it. If your child has an IEP, FBA, 504 Plan or is under the care of a therapist, then I reserve the right to decline to provide coaching services. However, I can recommend you to a coach who specializes in that area and can support you alongside the goals of your child's IEP, FBA and/or 504 Plan.

My coaching is NOT therapy or a substitute for therapy. Also, it's important to maintain the integrity of those goals already set in place by your child's IEP, FBA, 504 Plan or therapist.

Why are you coaching the parent instead of the child? YOU are your child's first teacher. The single most important thing your child needs is YOU. Also, your child is ultimately YOUR responsibility, and they look to YOU for stability, safety, and nurturing.

*Do you accept insurance? NO, insurance is not accepted as a form of payment.

Why do I have to sign a coaching contract? You are being asked to sign a coaching contract for several reasons:

1. Clarity and Expectations: The contract outlines the scope of the coaching relationship, including the goals, responsibilities of both parties, and the duration of the coaching sessions. This ensures that both the coach and the parent are clear about what to expect from each other.

2. Commitment: Signing a contract signifies a commitment from both the coach and the parent to actively participate in the coaching process. It reinforces the parent's dedication to working on their emotional intelligence and parenting skills.

3. Confidentiality: The contract typically includes clauses about confidentiality, ensuring that the parent's personal information and discussions remain private and secure within the coaching relationship.

4. Boundaries and Guidelines: The contract establishes boundaries and guidelines for communication, scheduling, and payment, which helps maintain a professional and respectful coaching environment.

5. Legal Protection: Having a signed contract can provide legal protection for both the coach and the parent in case of any misunderstandings or disputes that may arise during the coaching relationship.

Overall, a coaching contract serves as a framework for a successful coaching partnership, promoting trust, accountability, and progress towards the parent's goals.
